Hello!
I am found of science fiction and i have in my hand 191 pages of “the first kingdom” written 1978.
On the last page it says to be continued…
I have looked around and I dont understand the name of the next book/comic.
Can You please tell me the name of the next Magazine(s) ? Any suggestion where to buy them?
sincerely
Kent Åström
Many of the original printings of The First Kingdom are available on eBay. The entire series is available in hardback from Titan Publishing, including the never before published sequels,”The Space Explorer’s Club” and “Destiny.” You can find these on Amazon. I believe volumes 5 and 6 are just being released, but can be pre-ordered. You’ll find these amazing if you’ve been following TFK. Thanks for reading.
Hi Kent. Books five and six of The First Kingdom are available now. These are the follow ups, “The Space Explorer’s Club” and “Destiny” published in hardcover by Titan Publishing. You can find them on Amazon and at fine booksellers everywhere. They are The First Kingdom Vol. 5 and Vol. 6. Happy reading!

I’ve been buying a few graphic novels every few months for a while now and after getting up to date with the Jodoverse I thought of trying something both different and yet familiar. The First Kingdom by Katz and Sarvane by Bernet were the first things that came to mind.
Sarvane has no current English publisher and at this moment Titan is reprinting 3 of the 6 volumes so I’m being patient – just so I can snag all 6 at the same time.
I’d like to say thanks for telling us what volumes 5 and 6 contain, it’s surprisingly hard to get that info. You’d imagine Titan or some of the retailers that see it might think it’s important to tell people what they’re buying but no, like most relatively small comic publishers the descriptions are annoyingly irrelevant to the content of the books.
Very good points AlucardNoir!
Our friends and supporters at Comics Alternative do a very good job at keeping us up to date with very in depth scholarship on graphic novels, both here in the U.S. and overseas. They should be supported by fans of the medium like us. I consider their work invaluable.

Hi Kent.
Thanks for your inquiry. Jack is hard at work on the next installment, “Beyond the Beyond.” It’s another 500 page opus. He’s producing at a copious pace, writing, pencilling and inking, but it may be a few years before it comes out. In the meanwhile, you can purchase all the TFK in hardcover from Titan Publishing, including books five and six, which I believe were not available in the original TFK publishing. So it’s a reprint with the addition of the previously unpublished “The Space Explorers Club” (vol. 5) and “Destiny” (vol. 6). All the books are available on Amazon as well.
Best Wishes from the Infiniteverse!

The sequels are “Destiny” and “The Space Explorer’s Club,” which are books 5 and 6 of the recently published (2012) hardcover reprint by Titan Publishing. You can find them on Amazon.
Wow! You never know who you’ll bump into at Free Books…Your work appears to be a fascinating epic. Hope to see you next Sat. Frances
what page is jack up to in beyond the beyond?also can i still contribute on indiegogo.already have got all of the first kingdom volumes from titan press.
Jack is up to page 58, thanks to everyone’s support. He’s drawing and writing better than ever! Yes, you can still contribute to the campaign on IndieGoGo at: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/jack-katz-new-graphic-novel#/story
Sorry for the delay Evan. Jack is, as of March 9, 2017, Jack is up to page 185. He’s writing, pencilling and inking the pages all by himself at a copious rate. Yes, you can certainly still contribute to the IndieGoGo campaign and all of the original prizes are still available. Follow this link:

Thank you!
Brian, I’m glad to see you uphold and cultivate Jack’s work. I’ve been wanting to find a complete set of the first 24 books of the First Kingdom. Are they packaged now in volumes 1-4?
Sorry for the delay Alan. Please see my reply to Kent above. Thanks for your continued support and love for The First Kingdom.
Exactly, you can purchase all the TFK in hardcover from Titan Publishing, including books five and six, which I believe were not available in the original TFK publishing. So it’s a reprint with the addition of the previously unpublished “The Space Explorers Club” (vol. 5) and “Destiny” (vol. 6).
You are correct, books 1-4 in the reprint represent the 24 books that came out in comic book form, originally and mostly independently published by Bud Plant. All the books are available on Amazon as well.
Hello, any opportunity to publish TFK in French?
I would be very interested in financing this project.
Also eager to have status update on Jack’s current work.
Cheers
Thierry.
Hello Brian, happy to share the picture of an homage painting I commissioned to a friend artist of mine and that is a variant rendering of a work by Jack. (see link enclosed). Cheers. Thierry
